Sudanese Studies at Durham UniversitySSSUK has always had a strong link with Sudanese Studies at Durham University. International Sudan Studies Conferences were hosted there in 1991 and 2000. The University's library houses the Sudan Archive - particularly strong in unpublished papers and photographs from the condominium and Mahdist periods - and four other groups of printed material relating to the Sudan. For more details through the Durham University website, click here. Mrs Jane Hogan, who looks after the archive, is on the SSSUK board, as is Dr Cherry Leonardi, who researches and teaches Sudanese history in the University.
