A message from Francis Gotto:

Please could I ask you to circulate the attached notice calling for applications for the 2017 Sir William Luce Fellowship at Durham University? The residential fellowship (Apr-June 2017) carries a grant, accommodation and meals, and is a valuable research and publication opportunity for post-doctoral scholars, diplomats, politicians, or business executives, working on Iran, the Gulf states, South Arabia and Sudan: more details are provided in the notice. The application deadline is Thursday 6 October 2016. The Sir William Luce Papers series (https://www.dur.ac.uk/sgia/imeis/lucefund/visiting/) has been well served by the breadth of expertise and variety of experience past fellows have brought to the post, and so please may I encourage you to circulate this notice  as widely as you can in order to reach those individuals in this diverse and widely dispersed community who will be interested in such an opportunity? Sending the notice to electronic mailing lists and noticeboards hosted by your organisation would be particularly helpful, and much appreciated. Thank you.

Best wishes,

Francis Gotto
