University of Reading

Professor Peter Woodward, a leading scholar of Sudanese politics (and founder of SSSUK), researches and teaches in the School of Politics and International Relations

St Antony's College, Oxford University

The college hosts a Sudan Programme which has included numerous conferences and lectures on cultural, social and political issues facing Sudan. The programme is organised by Dr Ahmed Al-Shahi, a research fellow, and Mr Bona Malwal, a senior associate member of the college.

School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London

The school has several staff with particular research interests in Sudan, including Tania Kaiser (forced migration studies), Angela Impey (music), Zoƫ Marriage (development studies).

Rift Valley Institute (RVI)

RVI, which has an office in the UK, carries out funded research projects on politics and society in Sudan and the surrounding region. It also runs field courses on history, political economy and culture.
